5 Year listings for the brand in Travis Perkins and Jewson

STRATEGY:

The goal was simple: Achieve nationwide listings in UK Builders Merchants Travis Perkins and Jewson. 

 

There were three contenders for the shelf space.​​ We quickly worked out that all three brands were virtual equals on RRP, margins and distribution. But all three brands were weak on social media.

 

We knew that at least 10-15% of the overall 'judging score' would be based on brand visibility. So we focused our budgets and efforts on creating engaging and frequent content on LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook.

 

Some aimed at C Suite, some at Manager level and some at lads 'on the tools'.  We also toured the UK delivering demo days in stores to further raise the brand's visibility.

Lads on the tools quickly got the benefits of 'One handed driving' thanks to Phillips Screw Company's patented 'Stick-Fit' system. 

 

We used lads on the tools to demo the products too - no actors, no studios, just reality, relatable content and decent banter.

​

OUTCOME:

UK-Wide 5 year listings were acquired which now account for 90% of the UK turnover.​​​
